Window Tint Care
Caring for your new window tint is key to keeping it looking flawless for years to come. First, right after installation, please do not roll down your windows for at least three to five days. The film needs time to fully cure. During this time, you might see a slight haziness or some moisture pockets; these are normal and will evaporate.
Once cured, cleaning is simple but should be done carefully. Always use a soft, clean microfiber cloth. For cleaning solution, choose a tint-safe, ammonia-free glass cleaner, XPEL offers tint-safe cleaners that are perfect. Avoid any products that contain ammonia, as they can damage the film over time. When cleaning, be gentle. Wipe softly and avoid pressing hard along the edges where the film meets the glass.
Never use sharp objects, scrapers, or abrasive pads. If you have any stickers on the glass, avoid scraping them off. Instead, use a gentle adhesive remover that is safe for tinted windows. Also, avoid placing suction cups or any pressure on the film.
Your tint is protected by two warranties. First, our Haus of Skinz 30-day workmanship warranty covers any installation-related issues, like lifting or imperfections. If you notice anything within 30 days, let us know, and we’ll fix it. Beyond that, XPEL’s lifetime warranty covers the film itself against peeling, bubbling, cracking, or discoloration under normal use. If any covered issue occurs, XPEL’s customer support is ready to help.
In short, with gentle care and proper cleaning, your tint will stay in perfect shape for years. If you ever have questions, both we and XPEL are here to support you.
