PPF Care

Caring for your paint protection film (PPF) ensures your vehicle’s finish stays pristine for years. After installation, give your PPF at least 48 hours to fully adhere before washing or exposing it to heavy moisture. During this time, avoid picking at edges or placing any pressure on the film.

 

For regular maintenance, wash your car by hand using a pH-neutral car shampoo, XPEL offers safe cleaning products designed for PPF. Use a soft microfiber mitt and avoid abrasive brushes or sponges. Always rinse thoroughly and dry with a clean microfiber towel. Avoid automatic car washes with harsh bristles.

 

If you notice any debris, sap, or bird droppings, clean them quickly to avoid staining. For tough spots, use XPEL’s PPF-safe detail spray. Avoid petroleum-based products and waxes with dyes; instead, use XPEL’s recommended PPF sealants if you want added shine.

 

Your PPF is protected by two warranties. We offer a 30-day workmanship warranty covering installation issues like lifting edges. After that, XPEL’s 10-year warranty covers the film against yellowing, staining, or peeling. With proper care, your PPF will keep your paint protected and glossy.
